It is apt to concentrate on the quality of researches being carried out by the teachers of research scholars of the University. It is indeed inevitable to promote our researchers and faculty members to publish their research articles in a globally renowned high impact factor journal. But the activities of active consultancy were limited to only a few departments. The University is having faculty members of attracting high value of active consultancy. We need to create an ecosystem for the purpose. 5. Presence of Global Students

We as a university are determined to spread knowledge across the world by inviting foreign students on our campus. As per the norms of the Government of India through it off-shoot Indian Council for Cultural Relations, foreign students should be given admission on 15% supernumerary seats. The University has started taking a keen interest in offering admissions to foreign students especially form 2004-15. However, this dimension needs to be addressed well in the near future. Saurashtra University proposes to entertain more number of foreign students in all its programs by undertaking a drive for foreign students’ admission in the next five years.

6. Ranking and Accreditation

So far as the NAAC accreditation is a concern, the Saurashtra University is the first Grade ‘A’ university by NAAC in the State of Gujarat. Further, we have done fairly well by occupying a position in NIRF Rank Band 101-150 for the last three consecutive years. Nevertheless, the Saurashtra University proposes to perform better both in NAAC accreditation as well as in NIRF ranking in coming future.

7. Human Resource Development

The state conventional universities in Gujarat manage their staff requirements through a traditional method by the so-called Establishment Section. There is a dire need to establish a well designed and efficient set-up of the Human Resource Management Department in every university to tackle future needs in the light of globalized challenges and complications. The Saurashtra University proposes to establish a set up of the Human Resource Management Department for grooming its teaching and non-teaching staff to be compatible with the advanced challenges and needs. This is a prime objective of the University for its Five Year Action Plan.
