Ph.D. in Chemistry is a 3-year doctorate course in chemistry Subject. The candidates who are willing to take up this course must have the minimum eligibility by completing their master’s degree and M.Phil. in some subjects is the prerequisite for this course.

Full-time Ph. D. Programme shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of seven years.

The admission shall be based on the criteria notified by the Saurashtra University and University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines. 

The admission process for Ph.D. program is carried over by considering the merit score in Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) conducting by Saurashtra University from time to time. Admission merit is prepared by candidate Merit score in Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) and Candidate having qualification or cleared following examination i.e. M.Phil. / GATE / G-SET/ CSIR-UGC-NET Exempted for Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET). However, all candidates must attain personal interview/viva in DRC-(Departmental Research Committee). DRC Prepare Final merit for Ph.D. admission. On the successful completion of all process laid down by Saurashtra University Candidate registered in Ph.D. Programs.
