“Ramnik Kunwarba” Old Age Home, Rajkot.
An innovative project was conducted as part of the curriculum to the students of M.S.W.Sem.II studying in Department of Social Work. Pursuant to which they were taken to Ramnik Kunwarba Old Age Home, Gondal Road, Rajkot on March 03, 2023 run by Akhil Hind Mahila Parishad. Head of the Department Dr. R. M. Davesir, Shri Dr. P. V. Popatsir, Shri Hiralben Rawal and Shri Chandniben Islania went with the student of Department of Social Work.
Information about the old age home was given by Shri Kusumben. Later Shri Dr. Bhavnaben Joshipura informed about the history and activities of the old age home.
After visiting, it was found that there are 55 old people here. Students of M.S.W.Sem.II and Head of Departmrnt Dr. R. M. Davesir paid respects to all the elders by giving Tilak and rose flower and took their blessings. Meanwhile, a unique happiness was seen on the faces of the elders. Later, food was also served to the elders by the students and then the students also had lunch there.
After the meal, the students went to the elders' room and talked to them. The elders got to hear the stories of the students and were satisfied. Later the students played different games and garba in the old age home.
Finally students of M.S.W.Sem.II donated there according to their strength. Finally we thanked him and took leave saying he will remember us when needed
