The first in the series of the KAB (Know a Book) Talks was held in the Vyas Seminar Hall of the Department on 13th July, 2019. The series was initiated by Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, Professor & Head, Department of English & CLS who spoke on Edward Hirsch’s Poet’s Choice. This initiative has been started under the Reading Club, as a revival of old traditions of the Department. It has been started with the aim of broadening the literary-critical sensibilities of the students. Poetry being one of the most ancient and hoary literary genres, became an obvious choice for the first KAB talk.
