Study Centers

Formal education is essential for the students. Apart from formal education various activities are required so that the students can generate experience & knowledge in their free time.

A Study Centre is organized by our Department. Every fortnight students prepare “case presentation” and discuss the topic amongst them. Reference material is enlisted. Reading and discussing various topics from the reference material increases the knowledge. The interactive mode of Study Center increases the expression and convincing power of the students.

Around 90 topics are prepared throughout the year. Presentation, observation, collective efforts and self-study are the main qualities which are imbibed in the students through this activity. Knowledge based Extra-circular activities has thus benefited the students.

Rural Camps

Students require practical knowledge to enhance the theoretical knowledge. Exposure to rural areas is essential as 68% of India’s population resides in rural area. Rural Camps are organized so that the students get on the spot assessment of the rural situation. Social, economic and various other problems faced by the rural people are scientifically analyzed by the students.

Two-way process of interaction is generated because of these Rural Camps. Transfer of knowledge, transfer of technology & transfer of science is best utilized for the rural population. Student community thereby gets the best opportunity to study, analyze and implement latest research in the rural areas.

Rural Camps have become model laboratories for implementing various dimensions of Social Work. Thus such camps not only give exposure to the students, but are beneficial in imparting training and personality development of these students.
