Twenty-four students win prize in the state level dissertation competition, conducted by Dr. D. G. Educational Research Centre, Modasa for all the universities of Gujarat State . The department has systematic work and got prestigious standard in the field of educational research.

M .Ed. Part Time Program is also offered for in-service school/college teachers.

An International Conference on Fourth Wave in Education was organized in 2004. The department has also organized various state level and national level seminars, workshops, orientation programs and refresher courses.

The department conducts competitive and entrance examinations for various institutes likes Staff Selection Commission, Government of India, NIBM, IRMA, IGNOU, GSLET and Saurashtra University .

The Book Bank (in the memory of Retired Professor Dr. H. G. Desai) for M.Ed. students is running in the department.

A Computer Laboratory is established with the full financial assistance of respected donor shri Dipchandbhai Gardi.

Dr. H. O. Joshi working as a Professor and Head and trained as an Evaluator by NAAC, Banglore. He also visited the institutions as a team member. He is on expert panel of NCTE, WR, Bhopal and have served as convener or member of the team.

Dr. A. D. Ambasana has developed Aesthetic Test, i.e. Art Judgement Test that is the only test of this kind in Asia . He is holding Diploma of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting.

Dr. B. B. Ramanuj elected as a Dean Faculty of Education, Saurashtra University and at present working as a chairman B.Ed. and M.Ed. Central Admission Committee of the University. He awarded a SPEED Project by Saurashtra University on the study of the AURA.

Dr. M. S. Moliya got award in the competition of Hari-Aum Ashram Prarit research paper award.
